🌍 International Nurses Day 2025 is around the corner…

And this year’s theme hits close to home:

🩺 “Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies”

As we prepare to celebrate, I find myself reflecting deeply — not just on nursing as a profession, but on the human behind the badge.

I started as a nurse — full of hope, heart, and hustle.

But early in my journey, I saw what wasn’t being said out loud:

- Nurses were running on empty, physically and emotionally
- Mental health was whispered about — if acknowledged at all
- Leadership often focused on metrics, not meaning

That’s when I knew my mission would grow beyond the bedside.

From nurse → leader → mental agility coach, I committed to empowering those who care for others — starting with their own wellbeing.

🧠 Because resilience isn’t just about pushing through.

It’s about resetting, reconnecting, and receiving support.

🛏️ A recent experience as a patient reminded me:

Healing happens in the space where humanity meets healthcare.

And that only exists when our caregivers are cared for, too.

As we approach this year’s International Nurses Day, I invite leaders, teams, and policymakers to reflect:

✅ How are we really investing in nurses’ wellbeing?

✅ Are we building systems that support or silently strain?

✅ What does sustainable care look like — for those delivering it?

Let’s move the conversation beyond gratitude, and into action.

This is about more than celebrating nurses — it’s about protecting the future of care.

💙 Nurses deserve more than survival. They deserve to thrive.

Because staying composed doesn’t mean ignoring your feelings.

It means creating space before you act on them.
